Gametime is a mobile-first ticket broker that has both Android and iOS applications. The company has one of the best experiences for buying last minute tickets because you can do it on your phone and you don’t need to print the tickets. Gametime allows users to purchase tickets for sports events, including MLB, NFL, NCAA, NBA, NHL and MLS games and WrestleMania, AMA Supercross Championship and PGA Tour events, as well as music events, such as concerts, and other performances, including comedy and theater. The app compiles data of unsold tickets from various suppliers and displays the 50 best results for the selected venue, determined by price and location through a proprietary algorithm.

Update: Gametime has raised a total of $41.5M in funding over 4 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Sep 13, 2017 from a Venture – Series Unknown round. Gametime achieved an astounding 34,000% growth over the past 3 years and has been named

“#1 Fastest Growing Consumer Company in the USA” – Inc 5000 (2017)
“Fastest Growing Ticket Company Ever” – Business Insider (2017)
“Best Event App” – 2017 Appy Award
“Best in Mobile Fan Experience” – Sports Business Journal (2017)

The biggest issue with Gametime is that it is fairly low traffic compared to its competitors and thus it has a limited number of tickets and event listings. There also have been significant complaints from customers about app glitches where they were charged for tickets that they didn’t actually purchase but they have since been better at avoiding this.
Gametime United PROS

  • Beautifully designed and easy to use app.
  • Great for buying last minute tickets because it’s mobile-friendly and you don’t need to print tickets.

Gametime United CONS

  • Lower-tier in terms of website traffic and it doesn’t have as large of a ticket selection or as good of prices as the most popular brokers.
  • Some users have complained about an app glitch where they were charged for tickets that they didn’t actually buy.

Gametime is a terrible app with horrible customer service. My info was stored on my phone and accidentally purchased tickets. I immediately contacted them to cancel and they refused. They charged 17% in fees to buy the tickets, forced me to sell on their site, and then another 17% to sell. So I incurred roughly $100 in fees for an error. I will never use them again and I recommend using StubHub instead.

Gametime is a horrible app.It does not give you any chance to confirm your purchase. I was charged $312 because of 1 swipe. I called them within 1 minute and they refused to refund me the amount. The rep told me I should sell the tickets by pressing the sell button. When I asked for supervisor, he said call back tomorrow at 10am CST.

This is a horrible company. I found out there were so many fees involved. I decided to call my credit card to dispute the charges. I also have a hard time removing my credit card information. I have to get the rep to walk me through where I can find the information. It is not easy to use.

Please do not use the app
